Hexstatic are back! With "When Robots Go Bad" the audiovisual masters have produced their most satisfying audio set yet and this double A-side single is the first taste of it.

A building, growing epic, "Roll Over" features the remarkable vocals of Sabirajade, a newcomer who is set to cause much havoc with a voice that evokes real heart and soul. "Red Laser Beam," meanwhile, is more tooled up for the dancefloor, ramming punk rock guitar up against next level electronics and B-movie sci-fi.

Ever the men for maximum value, Hexstatic have also included two other tracks on this muscle-bound EP, all extended work-outs of album tracks. "Tokyo Traffic" sounds like the best video game you've never played (a Japanese 'Frogger' perhaps?) and "Bust" is the kind of cut-up, deconstructed computer boogie that'll have you popping and locking round your front room like you're twelve again.

Hextstatic are best known for their amazing work in the Audio-Visual field, from pioneering early experiments to their hilarious, exhilarating live shows of the last few years. "Roll Over" shows they can make great music, too. Simple as that. Control-Alt-BOOM.
